Our Gratitude Journey
What began as a simple family practice grew into a mission: to spread gratitude far and wide. We create storybooks and gratitude boxes that bring joy, reflection, and connection to families, schools, and communities everywhere.

Our Mission
At Little Orange Hat, our mission is to heal a world that often feels broken through the hearts of our loved ones. We believe in teaching the next generation the transformative power of gratitude, helping families and communities rediscover joy, connection, and mindfulness.
Our Vision
We envision a world where gratitude becomes a daily habit, strengthening bonds between families, friends, and communities. By highlighting the positive moments—big or small—we inspire a culture of appreciation, kindness, and emotional well-being.

Our Values
Our work is guided by core values that shape everything we create:
Gratitude – Placing thankfulness at the heart of everyday life.
Connection – Fostering meaningful relationships across generations.
Joy – Celebrating the small moments that bring happiness.
Inclusivity – Creating products for all families, communities, and individuals.
Creativity – Encouraging imagination and self-expression through interactive experiences.
Mindfulness – Helping people slow down and appreciate the present moment.
Founder & Creator
Lydya S.C., author of The Gratitude Box and creator of the interactive Gratitude Box, founded this collection in 2025. Inspired by a challenging time in her life—when personal health struggles and a particularly negative news cycle made the world feel overwhelming—she realized the power of focusing on the positive.
To bring this vision to life, Lydya and her young son created their own gratitude box at home. Every week, they documented moments of gratitude, small and large, and placed them in the box. This simple practice became a powerful tool for reprogramming thought patterns, highlighting joy amidst life’s challenges, and fostering emotional healing.
Today, Lydya is working towards sharing this practice with families, schools, and communities through her books and gratitude boxes, inviting everyone to experience the same transformative power of thankfulness.

Support Gratitude by Little Orange Hat
Every box we create begins with one simple hope — to spark kindness, mindfulness, and connection in children and families.
Your donation helps us share that message with schools, classrooms, and communities that need it most.

Why Your Support Matters
Many schools and families would love to bring The Gratitude Box program into their classrooms — but not all have the resources to do so.
Your generosity helps us:
- Provide free Gratitude Boxes to schools and community groups across Canada.
- Offer mindfulness and kindness activities to children who might not otherwise have access to them.
- Continue developing new stories, workbooks, and materials that nurture emotional well-being and empathy.
Every contribution — big or small — helps us keep spreading gratitude where it’s needed most.
Ways to Give
You can help in whatever way feels right for you:
- Make a one-time donation — every dollar helps us reach more classrooms.
- Become a monthly supporter — help us plan ahead and sustain our free school initiatives.
- Sponsor a school or community box — dedicate your gift to a specific classroom or local group.
If you’re part of an organization or would like to discuss a larger partnership, please reach out to us directly at hi@littleorangehat.com.
A Ripple of Gratitude
When you give, you’re not just donating a product — you’re helping a child discover joy, reflection, and kindness.
You’re showing them that gratitude grows when we share it.
Thank you for believing in what we do and helping us continue this heartfelt work.
Together, we can fill more classrooms, hearts, and communities with gratitude.
