Refund and Returns Policy

Overview

At Gratitude by Little Orange Hat, every box, book, and product is created with love and care to bring more kindness and mindfulness into your world. We want you to be delighted with your purchase! If something isn’t right, we’ll do our best to make it right.

1. Returns

Because many of our products are handcrafted or made to order, we can only accept returns in specific cases. Please reach out within 14 days of receiving your order if:

  • Your item arrived damaged or defective.
  • You received the wrong item.
  • There’s a problem with your order that we can reasonably resolve.

To start a return, email hi@littleorangehat.com with your order number and a brief description (photos help too!).

If your return is approved, we’ll provide instructions for sending your item back. Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and returned within 30 days of delivery.

2. Non-Returnable Items

Some items cannot be returned, including:

  • Digital products or downloadable files.
  • Personalized or custom-made items (like kits made specifically for your order).
  • Opened activity kits, books, or gratitude cards.

If you’re unsure whether your item qualifies, please contact us — we’re happy to help.

3. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we’ll notify you by email.
If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our part (such as a damaged or incorrect item).

4. Exchanges

If you’d prefer a replacement rather than a refund, we can usually arrange that too — just let us know when you contact us.

5. Cancellations

We understand — sometimes you change your mind!
Orders can be canceled within 24 hours of purchase as long as they haven’t already shipped. Once an item is shipped, our regular return policy applies.

6. Shipping Delays

We do our very best to ship your order quickly and safely.
However, please note that delivery times may vary, especially during:

  • Peak seasons (like holidays or back-to-school periods)
  • Severe weather conditions
  • Postal service disruptions or strikes

Once your package leaves our hands, delivery times are ultimately managed by the carrier. We appreciate your patience and understanding if delays occur — your order will always reach you as soon as possible.

7. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund after 10 business days, please check with your bank or credit card company first (processing times vary).
